JACKSONVILLE, FL
Today, the founding members of Lindsay Memorial Initiative (LMI) announced the formal start of operations. The organization will be comprised completely of unpaid volunteers who are passionate about the preservation and continued distribution of Dr. Homer G. Lindsay's timeless bible teaching and other works. A primary goal of the Initiative will be to organize and digitize what remains of Dr. Lindsay's works and make it available in an online format.
Although the specifics are not yet finalized, the organization intends to make all preserved assets available worldwide without charge. Currently, LMI is seeking volunteers who share the same passion to assist in a number of areas related to the preservation of Dr. Lindsay's works.
At the present, LMI founding members are in discussions with First Baptist Church of Jacksonville to discuss obtaining the remaining media assets from Dr. Lindsay's ministry. It is the prayer of LMI that First Baptist will be able to identify and supply the remaining assets. It is estimated that several thousand sermons and other works were created between 1969 when Dr. Lindsay became co-pastor with his father and 2000 when Dr. Lindsay passed away.
